Our services are delivered across a number of industry sectors including government, transport, energy, utilities, property, buildings, resources infrastructure, defence and agriculture.We are currently recruiting for a keen and enthusiastic Structures Inspector with experience within the rail sector to join our Newcastle based team. Reporting to our Team Leader in our Rail Infrastructure Management Services Group, this position will involve, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:The tasks you''ll performWorking locally and Australia wide on a rostering system providing unbiased and independent advice to our ClientsUndertake Visual Structures InspectionsIdentification and assessment of defectsProvide advice on repair scope and repair methodsCommitted to continual improvement and the introduction of new technologyThe expertise you''ll bringCertificate II in Rail Infrastructure (TLI21311)Current Certificate III in Rail Structures (TLI32111) or 7 years combined relevant experience with steel, concrete, masonry and/or timber materialsThe following additional units of competency:TLIB3087A Examine Timber StructuresTLIB3088A Examine Steel StructuresTLIB3098A Examine Concrete / Masonry StructuresWork Safely in the Construction Industry Induction (White Card)First Aid CertificateProven ability to inspect and assess defects and recommend maintenance scopes to rectifyA fundamental understanding of rail industry standardsAbility to work alone and self-manage time according to rosters and planned workWillingness to travel for short or extended periods of timeSound level of technology and ability to apply in the fieldA commitment to producing high quality work and ethical behaviourStrong interpersonal skills and a practical approach to solving problemsThe benefits we''ll provideLycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development.
