Summerhall Arts are looking for excellent Front of House Managers for this years Fringe at Summerhall.We are looking for excellent Front of House Managers for this years Fringe, delivered by Summerhall Arts at Summerhall.What will you be doing?First point of contact for Front of House staff, customers, clients and guestsSafeguarding visitors, guests and audiencesBeing responsible for the site and liaising with the Security TeamMaking decisions independently to ensure the daily running of the building is smooth and determining when issues require escalationDesignated Fire Marshall on shift, and overseeing evacuations if requiredAssist and Support Front of House Supervisors with customer issues and complaints, acting as a point of escalation as requiredHandling guest complaints confidently and professionallyAssisting audiences who have specific access requirementsBriefing Front of House SupervisorsSupporting Supervisors with any issues that arise on shiftManaging and motivating the Front of House teamProviding on-going training and support to the Front of House teamEnsuring staff timesheets are completed accuratelyEnsuring public areas and venue spaces are always clean and safe environmentsResponsible for the safekeeping of spaces and their equipment and handing over to the overnight Security TeamWork with Venue Managers to ensure Summerhall Arts policies are enforced throughout our venuesLiaising across departments to ensure smooth day operationsDaily reports to Management TeamWho are you?Experience of day-to-day operational venue managementExperience of leading a team in an events or customer service settingAbility to problem solve and deescalate issues calmly and professionallyResponsible and reliable with excellent timekeeping skillsEnthusiastic, motivated and hardworking with good communication skillsAble to work well under pressure and during very busy peaks of serviceHave a passion for the arts and an excitement for Summerhall Arts programmeExperience in a customer service role at a festival or arts organisation would be nice, but not essentialRate of Pay: 13.60 per hour + holiday payHours: Guaranteed 5 hours/week in May-July, 30 hours/week in August, but it''s likely you''ll be offered moreContract: Temporary fixed term (12 May - 25 Aug)How to ApplyVisit for more info and info on how to apply.The deadline is Tuesday 29 April 2025 at 17:00. #J-18808-Ljbffr
