If you are organized, have attention to detail, can work under pressure and have a sense of urgency when it comes to delivering exceptional customer service, keep reading and see if this role is for you!The Golf Shop Attendant ensures the enjoyment and first-class experience of our members and guests, while maintaining policies, procedures and golf shop operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOpening and closing the Pro Shop, including nightly reporting and pass-alongMaintain Pro Shop cleanliness and tidiness at all timesMaintain displays and rotate merchandise on a regular basis to ensure a fresh look in the Pro Shop, sell Pro Shop merchandiseAttend to the Reservations line, book tee times and answer inquiriesDeliver excellent customer service in a friendly and professional mannerPerform all duties in accordance with daily proceduresAssist members/guests with questions and concernsStay in constant contact with the Outside Services teamContribute to the coordination of all member and guest events and functionsMaintain communications bookHandle guest complaints in a friendly and professional manner, report complaints to the Head Golf ProfessionalAssist the Outside Services team when requiredAll other duties as assignedCOMMUNICATION/INFLUENCING OTHERS (Contacts)Excellent public relations skillsMust excel in customer serviceProven organizational skills and an attention to detailStrong communication skills and a proven ability to work well in a team environmentBe neat and professional in appearanceApproach responsibilities in an organized and energetic mannerGUEST SERVICEProvides guest service to external contacts, guests who are golfing at Lora Bay golf course, as well as internal contacts, in coordinating activities of golf shop attendants.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills)High school level English communication skillsPrior experience in golf or front desk operations an assetPrior retail experience an assetProficiency with Microsoft Office requiredSUPERVISION & BUDGET AUTHORITYNo Supervision of the operationsPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTWork under pressureWork in a fast-paced environmentInside and Outside in a variety of weather conditionsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to lift 25 LBSLong periods of standing on your feetMust be willing to work morning shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidaysGreat Gulf Group of Companies is committed to providing a fair and equitable work environment and encourages applications from qualified women, men, visible minorities, aboriginal peoples and persons with disabilities.
