Overview: QEII is excited to offer a 6-month gynaecology advanced training position for Semester 2, 2025. This role offers an advanced trainee the opportunity to work in a dynamic tertiary gynaecology unit that provides a broad range of generalist and subspecialist gynaecology services. Exceptional surgical exposure, both in volume and complexity of cases, is a feature of the role. QEII Jubilee Hospital, on Brisbanes southside, is one of five major facilities within Metro South Health and one of Queenslands busiest gynaecology services. The hospital serves a diverse community and is located in Coopers Plains, 12km from the Brisbane CBD.Position Description: QEII hospital is seeking an advanced trainee (RANZCOG 5th or 6th year) for this full-time role, commencing 4th August 2025 until 1st Feb 2026. Trainees at QEII rotate through different advanced gynaecology training roles, working in the fields of advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, urogynaecology.Responsibilities: You will be responsible for managing the integrated care of patients admitted to the Gawler Health Service Midwifery Ward. Contributing to the provision of high standard clinical services to Gawler and its surrounding areas, you will provide all antenatal care in conjunction with Midwives and assist with all deliveries needing medical input. As part of your role, you will contribute to Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) committees and review Quality and Safety.Purpose of the Role: This clinical role will allow for completion of the Essential O&G Skills Advanced Training Module, along with the Sexual and Reproductive Health Advanced Training Pathway (SRH-ATP). On completion of the SRH-ATP, the trainee will be equipped to provide comprehensive, high-level Sexual & Reproductive Health services and leadership. They will have the organisational skills to transition from senior registrar to consultant position. The position is based at Logan Hospital Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department and may provide services and engage in clinical training at other Metro South facilities. This role will include exposure to general obstetric and gynaecology practice as the acute obstetric or gynaecology registrar (including some after-hours duties in the form of evenings and weekends, shared amongst the advanced trainees), and attendance at clinics to meet the mandatory and elective SRH module requirements.Remuneration: Remuneration value up to $497,941 p.a. (L25 L27) or Remuneration value up to $455,624 p.a. (L18 L24), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., plus private practice arrangements.
