Operating a state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facility in Cairns, they are committed to safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a highly skilled Quality & Safety (QAS) Manager to oversee regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and quality assurance within their MRO operations.About the RoleThis role is critical in ensuring that all MRO activities comply with CASA Part 145 regulations and industry best practices. You will be responsible for leading quality assurance, safety management, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a strong culture of compliance and risk management.Key responsibilities include:Overseeing Quality Assurance and Safety Management Systems (SMS)Ensuring compliance with CASA Part 145 and aviation regulationsConducting internal audits, risk assessments, and incident investigationsImplementing corrective actions and process improvementsTraining and mentoring staff on QAS policies and proceduresLiaising with regulatory authorities and key stakeholdersAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Proven experience in Quality & Safety Management within an MRO or aviation maintenance environmentStrong knowledge of CASA Part 145, ISO auditing, and SMSAuditing experience (ISO, AS/NZS, CASA audits preferred)Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skillsA proactive approach to driving a culture of safety and complianceWhy MOVE?Work with a leading aviation services provider in a key regional hub.
