About the Opportunity:A respected mine operator is looking to engage an experienced Technical Services Manager to enhance their underground copper / gold mine in regional New South Wales. This exciting role offers a chance to lead and innovate in a fast-paced environment, managing a multidisciplinary team and overseeing the technical services that drive successful mining operations.This position will be based in Brisbane, with a rotation schedule of 8 days on, 6 days off. You will lead and develop a high-performing team consisting of Mining Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, Geologists, and Surveyors. Additionally, you will provide direction and mentorship to support operational and commercial success.Key Responsibilities:Planning & Scheduling: Oversee medium to long-term mine planning and scheduling, including Life of Mine planning. Ensure all mining activities are aligned with business objectives and operational efficiency.Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Regularly review and analyse mining performance. Identify improvement opportunities and implement operational enhancement projects to improve productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.Budgeting & Cost Control: Provide guidance on cost management, monitor budget variances, and collaborate in the creation of accurate and comprehensive mine budgets.Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and operational regulations. Prepare and review detailed operational reports, including weekly and month-end reports.Strategic Planning & Development: Coordinate short and long-term mine designs and activities.
