Conveniently located near local shops, parks, schools, and transport links, Bupa Bateau Bay is part of the vibrant local community.About The Role As a General Manager with Bupa you will oversee a dynamic team and ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care in a welcoming, safe environment; you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the care homes operations, including delivering quality care, managing financial performance, and leading staff development.DutiesCollaborate with the Care Manager and clinical staff to ensure care services are aligned with individual resident needs and Bupas standards.Develop and implement continuous improvement plans to enhance resident experience and care outcomes.Ensure all feedback, concerns, and complaints are addressed promptly and in accordance with Bupas guidelines.Provide operational support, guidance, and leadership, including being available on-call as needed.Manage key operational metrics, including occupancy rates and incident reports, ensuring optimal performance.Monitor and manage the care homes financial performance, ensuring budget targets are met.Lead recruitment and retention initiatives to build and maintain a strong, dedicated team.Foster a positive workplace culture by mentoring staff, setting clear expectations, and providing performance feedback.Skills and ExperienceProven experience in managing operations within an aged care or healthcare setting.Completion or working towards post graduate qualification in Health Management/Aged Care is desirable.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and manage a team.A commitment to quality care and improving the resident experience.Excellent financial management skills and an understanding of aged care regulations.A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and team development.CultureThe General Manager is responsible for continuing to foster a supportive and professional working environment within the care home.
