Comcare has Ongoing / Non-Ongoing Vacancies for 3 x APS4 Information Support Officers and a APS5 Senior Information Support Officer in the Risk and Analysis Team. These roles can be based in Newcastle, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide or Launceston.A merit pool will be created for each role and may be used to fill similar Ongoing and Non-Ongoing vacancies.Team OverviewThe Risk and Analysis team is the first line of Comcares management of regulation of work health and safety for the jurisdiction and is a nationally integrated Notification, Helpdesk and Intelligence capability designed to support the Regulatory Operations Group (ROG) in its delivery of targeted, risk-based regulation.APS4 Information Support Officer Role OverviewAssists as part of the WHS Helpdesk (which operates from 8:30am to 5:00pm, AEST/AEDT, Monday to Friday) that provides timely, appropriate and accurate information and support to external stakeholders.Processes Incident and Hazard Notifications, WHS Concerns and Authorisations in Comcare systems in an accurate and efficient manner.Conducts initial assessments and analysis of incidents by referencing relevant WHS information and intelligence products to inform risk-based decision making.Contributes to the delivery of information on emerging trends through reporting as requested.Provides support through information requests to other parts of Comcare''s business as requested.APS5 Senior Information Support Officer Role OverviewAssist as part of the WHS Helpdesk (which operates from 8:30am to 5:00pm, AEST/AEDT, Monday to Friday) to provide timely, appropriate and accurate information and support to external stakeholders.Oversee complex WHS enquiries, including Psychosocial enquiries.Process both standard and complex Incident and Hazard Notifications, WHS Concerns and Authorisations in Comcare systems in an accurate and efficient manner.Conduct initial assessments and analysis of incidents by referencing relevant WHS information and intelligence products to inform risk-based decision making.Respond to complex Authorisations enquiries.Mentor and assist team members to ensure high quality and timely service delivery.Assist in identifying emerging trends through reporting as requested.Provide subject matter expert advice on the Information Support Officer role as required for project work, procedural and system changes, requested contributions and testing.Provide support through information requests to other parts of Comcare''s business as requested.Qualifications/ExperienceCertificate IV in Work Health and Safety and/or similar experience is desirable, but not essential.Security ClearanceAbility to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.How To ApplyThe job information pack including how to apply can be obtained from our website here.Closing date: 11.59pm (AEDT) Thursday, 20 March 2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
