Were moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.About the opportunity:As our Retail Customer Service Officer, youll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience. Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices. Its our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one. And while they do, theyre supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.This casual role commences on $33.66 / hour for approx. 3 months, increasing to $35.98/ hour + 12% Superannuation. (Junior rates apply to those under 21 during training).Extensive, supportive (paid) training on commencement, Monday - Friday, for up to 12 weeks, approx. 4 hours / day on a rotating roster.Becomes on call after training; shifts may be scheduled in advance, or you may be called in at short notice.You will need to be fully available, Monday - Friday, between 8.45 am - 5.06 pm, no minimum hours guaranteed.Career progression! You will have access to future vacancies.You''ll be:Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers.Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS).Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews.Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities.Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associated costs.Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs.Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.About you:Youre friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment.
