Position: Banquet Server - Metropolitan at the 9 HotelLocation: Metropolitan at the 9 Hotel - Cleveland, OHJob Id: 1085# of Openings: 0Job Title: Banquet ServerDivision: Food and BeverageFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSummary: Responsible for setting up designated function rooms to group''s requirements in accordance with hotel standards, providing prompt, courteous and efficient service of food and beverage to guests at banquet functions according to established company standards, and maintaining cleanliness and working condition of all respective equipment, guest areas to all banquet meeting rooms, any hotel location designated for a group function or event, and service areas by performing the following duties.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Prepares coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in banquet event order.Prepares tables, buffets, and dessert table/carts.Communicates additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.Ensures courses are cleared in a timely manner.Responds to and tries to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements.Replenishes buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.Monitors tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests.Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.Buses tables by removing and separating tableware, plate ware, glassware, and flatware.Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures.Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager and completes safety training and certifications.Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information and protects company assets.Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards.Anticipates and addresses guests'' service needs, assists individuals with disabilities, and thanks guests with genuine appreciation.Speaks with others using clear and professional language.Supports team to reach common goals.Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
