Senior Legal Counsel - Consumer Banking/ Fintech - ASX ListedThis ASX-listed, leading fintech organisation is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its dynamic and innovative team, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the company''s robust growth and continued success.Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will join a high-performing legal and compliance team, providing support and advice on a range of issues including consumer credit, financial regulation, privacy, and general commercial matters.Key Responsibilities:Provide legal and compliance advice to all business units, including responding to ad-hoc requests, drafting policy documents, preparing responses to complaints, and reviewing marketing materialsAdvising the business on regulatory requirements and providing pragmatic solutions for new products and featuresDrafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of commercial agreementsManaging legal and regulatory risks across all relevant internal business units, material activities, and projectsAdvising on PPSR issues, particularly in commercial asset finance transactionsSupporting the Chief Legal Officer with project-based and discrete activities in alignment with the organisation''s strategic frameworkMonitor and provide advice on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standardsLiaise with external bodies and regulators such as ASIC and AFCA, where requiredExperience and Skills Required:10+ years post qualification experience with in-house legal experience as well as a strong law firm backgroundKnowledge of consumer credit regulatory frameworkExperience in Commercial Asset FinanceKnowledge of AML/CTF, Australian consumer credit and privacy regimesAbility to understand and troubleshoot complex commercial legal and regulatory problems, consult with relevant stakeholders, and propose practical solutionsSenior stakeholder management skills including internal as well as with external Vendors/ PartnersStrong collaborative, organisational and project management abilitiesPlease send your resume in confidence to Aislyn Jennings, Executive Search Partner, at aislynj@greenfieldssearch.com.au or call for a confidential discussion, 0432000919.Greenfields will only accept documents in MS Word or PDF format.
