We pride ourselves on our integrity, collaboration, and commitment to excellence, offering exciting opportunities for professional growth within a supportive work environment.The Role:We are looking to employ a general commercial lawyer with 2+ years of experience who is looking to work in a fast-paced and supportive working environment. The role involves autonomously managing your own files in commercial and business law, including advising on acquisitions and sales of businesses, pre-purchase advice and due diligence, employment law, business succession planning, and estates/probate.Responsibilities:You will work on a mix of challenging and complex matters and be responsible for carrying out a variety of legal tasks and providing exceptional client service both face to face and via telephone/teams. You will be exposed to high level and interesting work and will be working closely with the partners on a wide range of matters. The role offers the opportunity to assist in the following areas:Commercial LawSmall to medium sized commercial and residential developments and sales.Provide legal advice on commercial property transactions.Interpret and provide advice on agreements and contracts relevant to the business.Provide strategic legal advice and representation to clients.Leasing drafting, reviewing and negotiating retail and commercial leases.Advising clients on all aspects of property law, including lease agreements, renewals, and terminations.Shareholder and partnership agreements.Purchase/Sale of Business.Drafting of pleadings and settlement deeds and compromises and commercial agreements.Preparing Probate and Letters of Administration applications.Managing Administration of Estates.Preparing Deeds of Family arrangement.Drafting Wills of varying complexity and Enduring Powers of Attorney.Appointments of medical treatment decision makers and advance care directives.Trust Deed variations.Skills & Experience:The Applicant will need to have the following skills:Experience in Commercial Law and Property Law.Strong academic credentials, analytical ability and interpersonal skills.Preferable experience in LEAP, Infotrack, PEXA, Duties Online, Lexis Nexis.Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.Quick responses to clients'' urgent matters and swift turnover.Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Strong client relationship management skills.Be able to handle files autonomously, with efficiency and great attention to detail.Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Efficiently organised to manage workflow.Be a confident and competent communicator who enjoys client contact.Pro-active, able to multitask and strong attention to detail.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (J.D.).Completion of supervised legal practice period.Admission to practice in both the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia.2+ years of Commercial Law experience.Remuneration will be commensurate with your experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
