Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australias eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australias largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join the HumeLink West team.Please note this position is a DIDO/FIFO or relocation to Wagga Wagga. Local applicants are highly considered.What will a day in this role look like:Acquisition, recording, filing and distribution of relevant Australian and International Standards and ProceduresControl the identification, registration, distribution, and retention of all design, client, and vendor documentation.Enforce Document Control Procedure as requiredSet up the Project Drawing files after verification that all drawings issued by client or other parties are in accordance with the associated transmittal.Log receipt of technical queries, improvement requests, engineering change notices, construction change notices, material receiving reports and over, short and damage reports. Issue to the appropriate personnel for review and action.What are we looking for you to bring to the team:Minimum 3 years experience in a document control roleExperience with MS Office, Lotus Notes, Aconex and Ineight teambinderEngineering, mining/processing plant construction/operational knowledgePrevious experience in document control in an engineering design office or related fieldA good standard of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and ExcelThe successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
