Respect also has home care services in multiple states, and more than 700 units in different retirement villages and independent living communities.About the positions: The Food Services Assistant, under the guidance of the Chef/Cook, helps implement, monitor, and evaluate the Food Safety Program (FSP). They also assist in providing a variety of quality food and beverages that meet residents'' individual needs and preferences. The Food Services Cook works alongside the Chef Supervisor to prepare, cook, and serve nutritious, tasty, and appealing meals for residents, ensuring they follow the Food Safety Program guidelines.Skills and Experience:Food Handling Course.A certificate relevant to the role (e.g. Certificate III Hospitality Commercial Cookery).Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).Experience in residential aged care, and hospitality or catering.To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.Key Duties:Assist in the preparation, serving, presentation, and delivery of high-quality meals and beverages to residents, ensuring they meet individual dietary requirements and preferences as specified by the dietician, speech therapist, or clinical care team.Contribute to menu planning and the implementation, monitoring, and documentation of the Food Safety Program (FSP) in partnership with the Chef Supervisor.Ensure stock items are reported for ordering, and maintain a clean and safe work environment by promoting safe work practices.Support the ongoing quality review of the FSP, including tasks like recording temperatures and receipting goods.Ensure the timely and friendly delivery of meals, and report any concerns regarding food and beverages to the Registered Nurse in charge.Any other task not defined but within the employee''s skills, as directed by the organisation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
