As an Individual Support Trainee, you will be placed with one of our Host Employers and play a crucial role in assisting individuals with their daily living activities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.Duties may include but not limited to:Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.Foster a positive and empowering atmosphere that promotes independence and dignity.Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients.Help individuals with meal preparation and nutritional support.Observe and report any changes in clients'' physical or mental conditions to the appropriate personnel.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual care plans.Maintain accurate documentation and records related to client care.Sleep over shifts.Any other tasks reasonably requested by the host employer.Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:Genuine passion for working with people and a commitment to making a positive impact in their lives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Empathy, patience, and the ability to show compassion.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.A willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced professionals.Must be willing to undertake a Certificate III in Individual Support as part of the traineeship.Essential requirements: Drivers license and reliable transport.Ability to provide a National Police Check.Able to obtain a Blue/Yellow Card.Applicants must be able to provide documentation of vaccinations, including those related to Flu/Covid-19 if required.Modern Award rates apply.
