We provide 133 local government entities with workers compensation insurance solutions, safety and wellbeing services and are trusted as their workforce risk and wellbeing experts for their 37,000 workers.The opportunityIn this role as the Information Security Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Information Officer and lead the development and execution of comprehensive information security frameworks and policies. You will ensure that security risks are effectively assessed, mitigated, and reported while overseeing StateCovers information security risk management, governance, and compliance with regulatory standards.Your leadership will be pivotal in safeguarding StateCovers information assets, infrastructure, and customer data. You will drive security initiatives and operations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements through the three lines of defence model.Collaboration will be key, as you work closely with teams across StateCover to foster a strong security culture and embed a mindset of continuous improvement in risk management practices. This role will also see you conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities, implement remediation strategies, and strengthen StateCovers overall security posture.Your storyYou hold a degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, with extensive experience in developing and implementing information security strategies, policies, and risk management frameworks in regulated environments. Your technical expertise spans SIEM, DLP, encryption, firewalls, and endpoint security, along with a strong understanding of cloud securitypreferably within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. You are also well-versed in security frameworks such as NIST and regulatory requirements like CPS 230 and CPS 234.As a strong communicator and collaborator, you thrive in cross-functional environments and are a natural leader dedicated to fostering a positive risk culture and enhancing security maturity across the business.Experience in the insurance or financial industry is highly desirable.Why us?We seek to provide our people a career, not just a job.
