This position is dedicated to optimising network stability and performance while proactively enhancing the cybersecurity posture of our platforms. Key responsibilities include continuous monitoring of system health, implementing security protocols, and swift troubleshooting and resolving issues to minimise downtime.The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of network infrastructure and security best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution DesignDevelop a comprehensive understanding of the network and cybersecurity infrastructure and systems. Regularly produce detailed reports on performance metrics and security updates for management review, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.Oversee the ongoing design and architecture of all network and cybersecurity components, ensuring that all documentation is consistently updated and accurately reflects current configurations and practices.Operations and SupportInstall and maintain security patches across all Network and Security components as required, ensuring that systems are protected against vulnerabilities.Conduct daily monitoring of the network and cybersecurity elements, verifying the integrity and availability of all infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance.Provide Level 2 support for network and cybersecurity issues to the Service Desk and internal users, effectively addressing inquiries and resolving incidents.Ensure that all incidents and problems are remediated within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), maintaining high standards of service delivery.Work after hours as required to securely and effectively deploy Network and cybersecurity changes that cannot be done during business hours.MaintenanceRegularly apply patches and upgrades to all network and cybersecurity platforms to maintain system integrity and security.Upgrade and configure system software and operating environments that support the network and cybersecurity infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and performance.Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation of the network and cybersecurity topology/architecture design, including details on external service provider engagements (e.g., warranty information, vendor support, and technology obsolescence).Maintain and regularly review Disaster Recovery procedures related to network and cybersecurity platforms, ensuring preparedness for potential incidents.Skills & Experience Required7+ Years of Hands-On Network Engineering: Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Meraki SD-WAN networks and Wi-Fi environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.In-Depth Knowledge of Networking Protocols: Strong understanding of key networking protocols, including IPSEC, SSL VPN, BGP, OSPF, 802.11 standards, and Quality of Service (QoS) principles.5+ Years of VOIP Experience: Proven experience working with VOIP services, with a preference for MiTel systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimisation.Solid Understanding of OSI and TCP/IP Models: Comprehensive knowledge of the OSI and TCP/IP models, enabling effective troubleshooting and network design.5+ Years of Cybersecurity Experience: Hands-on experience in setting up and managing firewalls and cybersecurity platforms, particularly with FortiGate and NetScaler, to protect network integrity.Familiarity with Information Security Management Systems (ISMS): Experience with ISMS frameworks, enhancing organisational security posture and compliance.Networking and Security Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNP (essential) in Routing and Switching, with CCIE (desirable) to validate advanced networking skills.Proficient in Network Management Tools: Experience with network management and monitoring tools, including Wireshark for packet analysis and SolarWinds for network performance monitoring.Knowledge of Web-Based Technologies: Familiarity with web technologies, including reverse proxy servers, SSL certificate configuration, three-tier architecture, service-oriented architecture, and protocols.Experience with Cloud Networking: Understanding of cloud networking concepts and experience with cloud service providers (e.g., Azure, OCI) is a plus.Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Experience in incident response and troubleshooting methodologies to quickly resolve network and security issues.Strong Communication Skills: Ability to research, formulate, and present enterprise-level network and security solutions effectively, both in written and verbal formats, to meet business requirements.Why join Rexel?We promise to provide a fun and safe environment to develop your career;
