We offer a wide range of services including accounting & tax compliance, business & tax advisory, structuring, superannuation, wealth management, and transactional services.As an integral member of our close-knit team, you will be given exposure to a diverse range of clients and the opportunity to further develop and grow your skill set. You will manage, develop, and administer a portfolio of SW clients, taking full ownership of allocated jobs and managing your workflow. This involves maintaining an appropriate level of service to clients and producing a high standard of work. You will also be responsible for delegating and reviewing work undertaken by junior team members.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, manage, and administer a portfolio of SWs clients, including:Develop budgets, manage WIPs, and bill clientsMeet deadlines and provide quality and timely service to clientsMaintain a high level of customer service to all clientsPerform all compliance and value-add workReview financial accounts, FBT and income tax returns, business activity statements, instalment activity statements, and any other work performed by Intermediates, Graduates, Co-Operative Students, and CadetsPrepare and review complex individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returnsPrepare and review workpapers, analyze client data and transactions, and set up accountsProvide feedback, coaching, and technical support to any BPCA team member working on clientsProvide technical support and guidance to an allocated team of Intermediates and GraduatesIdentify and develop existing and potential business opportunities within the client baseReport to the Manager on the performance of team members and status of client obligations and issuesAssist with potential and new client opportunities or initiatives such as attending client meetings, preparation of advice, and presentationsAdministrative complianceOther duties as required by the firm such as interviewing clients, attendance at training, marketing, acting as a buddy/mentor to a new member of staff, special projects, etc.Key Skills and ExperienceMinimum 3 years experience in a Business Services environment in a Chartered/CPA accounting practiceDegree qualified and nearly/fully qualified as a CA /CPATechnically proficient and up to date with developments in taxation law and accounting standards, systems, and processesAdvanced working knowledge of GST, Business Activity Statements, and Instalment Activity StatementsDetailed knowledge of tax office correspondence and proceduresThorough understanding of company secretarial mattersAdvanced understanding of the Corporations Act, accounting standards, tax legislationAbility to review the work of junior members of staff and identify any issues and opportunities for discussionPrevious experience working with and developing good relationships with clientsExcellent time management skills and meeting deadlines for a large group of clientsAbility to mentor, coach, motivate, and manage junior members of staffPresent professionally and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skillsPrior experience working with APS, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and Microsoft ExcelBest Kept Secrets of SWProgressive firm, with excellent career opportunitiesFlexible working environment2 additional AL days per year18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers and 3 weeks for non-primaryRefer to client and refer a friend bonus schemeEmployee Assistance Program and Wellness perks$1000 towards home office setupSocial ClubTailored Learning and Development ProgramPaid Course/study leave1 paid professional membership per yearWeekly lunch providedApply todayCreate your own individual story and become a part of ours.
