Reporting to the General Manager Talent and Organisational Development, the role is pivotal in supporting the execution of our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy.The role partners closely with our People and Organisational Development (P&OD) business unit and Executive Sponsors for our four Employee Advocacy Groups (EAGs) - Pride & Allies, Gender Balance, Cultural Diversity and Disability & Access to meet our organisational commitments in this space.Please note this is a fixed-term contract until the end of March 2026.Key AccountabilitiesWork closely with the General Manager, Talent & Organisational Development and P&OD Team to develop and implement Vicinitys FY26-28 DIBS Strategy and initiatives. This will require undertaking a comprehensive review of the existing strategy, stakeholder workshops, industry reviews and sharing the critical areas to audiences.Establish, maintain and influence relationships with key senior stakeholders, including but not limited to our EAGs Executive Sponsors, EAG members and other stakeholders (incl. external member organisations) to build engagement and advance our DIBS Strategy.Continue to build structure, systems and insights across all DIBs activities, policies and processes to our EAGs and other internal teams to uplift the performance and impact of the program.Proactively update and maintain DIBS related content on internal and external platforms.Work closely with our P&OD Team to research, capture, monitor and analyse data on DIBs related information and practices.Work with stakeholders to develop impactful programs and initiatives (including capability training, forums, workshops, policies) that will advance skill and capability of all staff across our key DIBs sectors.Support with Vicinitys Employee Experience programme including survey delivery, review of data, preparing stakeholder reporting and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.Draft input to board reporting and compliance reporting (e.g. WGEA, Champions of Change) and monitor and report on diversity and inclusion initiatives.Play a co-ordination and support role for the Vicinity Days of Significance calendar and other internal DIBS events as required.Support with drafting, sharing key information and maintaining DIBs related accreditations including but not limited to Disability Confident Recruiter, AWEI accreditations.Manage relationships with external DIBS partners where required and share leading practice to enhance Vicinitys DIBS initiatives.Key Role RelationshipsEAG Executive SponsorsOrganisational Development TeamP&OD Business PartnersHead of Workplace RelationsBusiness Leadership TeamEAG membersExperience & CapabilitiesESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (what you have done)3 to 5+ years experience in a DIBS role within a corporate or government environmentAn understanding of DIBS compliance and reporting requirements e.g WGEAPrevious experience developing and delivering a DIBs strategy refresh within an ASX listed organisation, will be highly regardedCRITICAL KNOWLEDGE (what you need to know)Knowledge and understanding of DIBS processes, policies and legislationDemonstrated skills in data interpretation and Microsoft Office SuiteCAPABILITIES (what you can do)Ability to proactively keep informed and influence critical stakeholders across DIBs related activities and initiatives, to ensure balance of commercial and social outcomesAbility to prioritise tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentManaging and identifying shared value opportunities to maximise external partnershipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills especially the capacity to work collaboratively.Strong business process knowledge and a continuous improvement mindsetStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creativelyExperience in handling confidential sensitive data and information with the highest level of integrityPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES (who you are)You consistently demonstrate and role model the behaviours that bring the Vicinity values to life:Respect: we listen to and acknowledge each other''s views and we have difficult conversations with careIntegrity: we back our words with the right actions and we do the right thing, no matter the situationCustomer Focus: we nurture a genuine connection with our customers and we consider customer needs when making decisionsCollaboration: we invite the right people to the table and we balance consensus with decisive actionsExcellence: we always strive to improve and we share our challenges and celebrate the winsWhy Vicinity?Our benefits program focuses on creating an awesome place to work in which our people are rewarded and recognised.
