Outstanding opportunity in our growing organisationInclusive and diverse work cultureWork in a growing business that invests in its people, customers, and cultureSLS requires an Experienced Inorganic Chemist to join our Melbourne Environmental Chemistry Testing Laboratory to perform analysis on soil, water, and air samples in a fast-paced laboratory.What we are looking for is a technically oriented person with great attention to detail ready to work in our Anion testing department who has a minimum of 2 years'' experience are encouraged to apply.Reporting to Laboratory Supervisor, your duties would include but not be limited to:Preparation of Environmental Soil/water samples.Operation of Segmented flow analyser & IC or other equipment as required.Generating test results within expected turnaround times.Calibration and maintenance of equipment.Maintaining consumables inventory.Compliance with health and safety.Identification and implementation of productivity, quality, and safety improvement opportunities.To be successful in this role you must have:Tertiary qualifications in Science with Chemistry or related major.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to follow standard operating procedures.A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.Knowledge of Laboratory Quality practices within a NATA accredited laboratory.Ability to work in team or independently.Ability to reason and interpret with good attention to detail and clear record keeping.Full rights to work full-time in Australia.At least 2 years'' experience in the use of the following Environmental Laboratory Analytical instrumentation:UV VisSegmented flow analyserICIf you know you have what it takes, please apply now. #J-18808-Ljbffr
