This role is a full-time permanent position. Reporting to the Senior Solicitor, you will assist the team in initiating legal proceedings for our Owners Corporation and commercial clients, ensuring all work is accurate, compliant, and efficient.ObjectivesKickstart Cases: Open new files, request and source documents from clients, and draft confirmation letters and Solicitor Demand Letters.Court Coordination: Handle court e-filing, schedule hearing dates for contested matters, and keep track of important deadlines.Draft Legal Docs: Prepare various initiating action documents, motions, petitions, and proposed orders across multiple jurisdictions.Client & Court Liaison: Respond to client and court inquiries, manage communications and payout requests from debtors/defendants, and calculate debt settlement amounts by reviewing and interpreting Owners Statements of Accounts (Strata) and client invoices (Commercial).Communication Pro: Maintain written and verbal communication with clients, defendants, and both internal and external stakeholders.Manage Cases: Keep case management on track and within KPIs.Legal Research: Research legal issues as directed by the supervising Solicitor.Trial Prep: Assist Solicitor in preparing for trials and defended matters.Admin Support: Provide administrative assistance as needed.About youExperience: Ideally, you have at least 1 year of experience in legal document drafting, debt recovery, data entry, and administrative processes.
