Update your details, view your application and progress.Apply now Job no: 496370Work type: Full timeLocation: QueenslandCategories: Transport & Logistics, Ports, Cadet / Trainee, StevedoringQube Cadet Program - Applications open now!About the Program:The Qube Cadet Program sets the framework for recent graduates and high-school leavers to enter the logistics and/or transport industry via Qube.This 2-year program sees cadets gain experience within various parts of the business.Throughout the 2-year program, not only do we provide training and mentoring at every stage of development, there are also regular check-ins with the Qube team to ensure you stay engaged along your Qube journey.Start: May 2025Role: Full TimeLocation: Port of BrisbaneRole Responsibilities:Load and unload trucks and rail wagons with containers as instructed and as per daily operating procedures.Reposition containers within the Terminal and Container Park as instructed, keeping the yard tidy and systematic.Stack containers as per safe working instructions.Report any equipment maintenance requirements and safety hazards identified to relevant personnel immediately.Ensure work environment is clear of hazards and contaminants as per AQIS licensed Premise guidelines.Operate PDA or other technology as required.Work closely with management and colleagues to achieve optimum outcomes for the container park, terminal, and rail operations as a whole.Follow all rail legislation and safety procedures applicable to the site.Follow local procedures regarding stacking FCL and MT containers particularly during extreme weather.Ensure traffic flow is strictly adhered to at all times.Complete and fulfill medical requirements as and when required.Work diligently within a team environment to achieve targets and results in a positive manner at all times.Maintain a professional attitude toward all internal and external customers and clients.Maintain standards relating to training and rail awareness including medical requirements as per legislation and statutory requirements.Attend and complete CAT 3 Rail Medical and any other relevant medical tests/requirements regularly.Work within Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations in all areas of the role (e.g., fatigue, loading, speed, etc.).Demonstrate inclusive behavior and show respect for diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.What we offer:Comprehensive training and hands-on experience.Mentorship and learning opportunities.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Career development and potential for long-term growth.Competitive remuneration.Who we are looking for:Enthusiastic and motivated individuals eager to learn and grow.Strong communicators with problem-solving skills.Team players with a can-do attitude.Recent school leavers or individuals looking to kick-start their logistics career.Qube recognises the value of an inclusive and diverse work environment.
