Location:Muswellbrook, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSWABOUT USThe Maxwell Underground Mine , owned by Malabar Resources Ltd , has commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site, with production projected of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in underground coal mining, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will be responsible for operating various types of underground mining equipment, ensuring efficient and safe production.Key responsibilities:Operate underground mining equipment including continuous miners, roof bolters, shuttle cars, and load-haul-dump (LHD) machines.Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.Perform equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.Monitor and manage the mining process to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate operations.Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently.Maintain accurate records of operations and report any incidents or irregularities.ABOUT YOUSuccessful applicants will have:Minimum 2 years'' experience in Underground Coal Mining.Current competency in the operation of plant or equipment in underground coal mining.Proven track record of safely working in an underground mining environment.Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in coal mining.Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle heavy equipment.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Experienced continuous miner operators will be highly regarded.Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Order 43 medical, including drug and alcohol.EMPLOYEE BENEFITSCompetitive remuneration package with robust employee benefits.Comprehensive salary packaging through Maxxia.Extensive support through Malabars Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Collaborative and inclusive work environment.Long-term career opportunities with 25-year mine life.Thriving company culture focused on internal promotion and career development.Direct applications ONLY will be considered at this time.About usMalabar Resources is an independent Australian-owned resources company with exciting projects based in the Hunter Valley.
