Apply now and embark on an exciting career with Utopian Transport!Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $26.00 HourlyKey Responsibilities and Essential Job Duties:Adhere to all DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulations and standardsPrepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries and adhering to AgenciesCourteously interacts with customers and/or the general public along the route to answer questions or respond to requestsWorks safely and follows safe operating practices, including lock out/tag out procedures to ensure proper operation of the truck, abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving recordPerforms daily pre- and post-trip inspections. Completes and submits the vehicle condition report at the end of the shiftAssisting with loading and unloading items from vehiclesReviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfiedMaintains and submits a DOT logbook, daily route/productivity sheet, and vehicle condition report (post-trip inspection sheet) as required by law or company policyUses a key map and GPS to locate service addressesLoading, transporting, and delivering items to customers or businesses in a safe, timely mannerKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of DOT regulations, commercial drivers license rules and regulationsExperience of Single and Tandem Axle Day Cab, Straight Truck, Dump Truck, Flat bed, End Dump, Forklift, Strapping and TarpingGenuine care to courteously interact with customers and general public on a daily basisStrong attention and compliance rate to all safety operating practicesAbility to work in a physical labor position in indoor/outdoor environmentsRequired: Medical Examiners Certificate As required by the Department of TransportationRequired: Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)Required: Minimum of one-year verifiable CDL driving experience or a certificate of completion from an accredited truck driving schoolRequired: Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to DOT and Company standardsHighly Preferred: Manual driving experienceHighly Preferred: Working experience in plant industry or related fields, landscaping, garden centers, and/or nurseriesBenefits you will Enjoy:Health, dental, and vision insurance 1st of the month after 30 daysGenerous 401k match with immediate vestingPTO and paid holidaysCompany culture centered around growth and innovationDCA Outdoor, Inc, is a values based, purpose driven organization in service to our family of 12 brands.
