Additionally, we have operations across Asia, both North and South American continents and Europe. Brisbane is home to our corporate office which is where this role is based.About your potential new position:Reporting to General Manager Legal Services, you will be responsible for providing high quality general legal advice and support to Glencores Zinc Australian operations in all aspects of our business, including business development, regulatory, environmental, exploration, contract negotiation, property management, commercial sales, employment matters and dispute resolution. The role will present a significant opportunity for professional growth and initiative in a dynamic in-house legal environment for the successful candidate.What we expect about you:You will be a hands-on lawyer who is an integrated member of the business and enjoys tackling significant legal work directly. You are pre-emptive in raising awareness of compliance and corporate governance, thereby protecting and enhancing the legal position of the operations and reducing risk exposure.Other expectations include, you:have around 3 or more years of legal experience.have a current Australian practising certificate.have legal training and pragmatic experience in a wide variety of corporate legal matters.combine excellent communication and interpersonal skills with effective research & analytical skills.quickly grasp legal and business issues to provide tailored legal advice and counsel.provide timely advice in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.want to take leadership of and manage discrete legal projects in cross-functional teams.It would be seen as beneficial to have exposure to the extractive industry and be able to travel to our assets when required.Whats in it for you?You will earn well, but that is the smaller part of what we provide.
