This hands-on role involves maintaining environmental areas such as verges, hedges, and footpaths across Leicestershire.Key Responsibilities:Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and verge maintenanceSeasonal tasks including sign washing and edging back vergesUsing plant machinery and power tools safelyAssisting in emergency response situations as part of a standby rotaEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulationsWhat Were Looking For:Essential:NVQ Level 2 in Highways Maintenance (or willingness to attain)Valid driving licenceExperience in highways or civil engineering maintenanceKnowledge of safe working practicesDesirable:Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) licence & CPC qualificationTraffic Management knowledge (Chapter 8 regulations)Ability to tow and manoeuvre trailersThis is a physically active role requiring outdoor work in all weather conditions.
