With a long mine life, not only can you grow with EPSA, but you will also be joining a site that is progressive and keen to drive change and development in what we do.About the role:Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will:Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and responsibilities of an Open Cut Examiner as outlined in the Coal Mining Health and Safety Act 1999 and the Coal Mining Health and Safety Regulation 2017 are complied with.Maintain compliance while keeping an up to date understanding of legislation and site safety and health system requirements as they apply to your role.Supervise coal mine workers and mining operations to achieve EPSA production targets and schedules.Participate in developing and reviewing all mechanisms to ensure safe work of coal mine workers through risk assessments, PHMPs, SOPs and other Standards and Procedures relating to mining activities in or around the mine, as directed.Participate in incident investigations and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.Follow and ensure compliance with all Risk Management Processes and documentation requirements, to reduce unacceptable levels of risk.To be successful you will have:Practicing certificate as an Open Cut Examiner, gas monitoring certification, and extensive experience in coal mining practices and legislation.Demonstrated experience facilitating and implementing change to develop a safety-first culture, safely achieving and exceeding production targets, and the coordination of equipment, resourcing and personnel.Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to work across a dynamic and diverse workforce.ICAM Lead Investigator and incident investigation skills to identify corrective and preventative actions.RIIRIS301 / RIIWHS301 / RIICOM301 / RIIRIS402 (formerly S1, S2, S3, G2) and current Queensland Drivers Licence.Current Coal Mine Workers'' Health Scheme Assessment Report/ Formerly Coal Board Medical, Standard 11 and willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical. #J-18808-Ljbffr
