This position is full-time with flexible work hours.On any given day, your duties will include:Provide payroll and HR Operations advice to employees, managers, and payroll providers.Deliver accurate data to the payroll provider and complete payroll checks within agreed timeframes.Support the development of new payroll procedures as part of the transition to a new payroll provider.Maintain HR data in systems, conduct audits, and resolve discrepancies.Support the team with cyclical HR activities and projects.What you will bringExperienced in interpreting and processing payroll data accurately and efficiently.Ability to interpret awards, legislation, and internal policies.Knowledge of payroll-related legislation (e.g., tax and superannuation) or the ability to acquire it.Strong communication skills to resolve payroll and HR-related queries.Proficiency in maintaining HR systems and ensuring data accuracy.Supporting a Diverse WorkforceAt TasTAFE, we encourage applications from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, people living with a disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature age workers, and members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
