6-12 month initial contract8:6 RostersSurface OperationsRole OpportunitySeeking an Emergency Services Officer for a surface mining operation, responsible for incident response, medical care, fire safety, and promoting a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with WHS standards.BenefitsHands on emergency trainingTeam oriented environmentOpportunities to work across multiple mine sitesWeekly payEssential Qualifications and skills:Certificate III Mines Rescue & EmergencyCertificate IV in HealthcareCombined Space Entry/Gas testHLPAT005 - Accredited Drug and Alcohol ScreeningSurface mining and processing operationsWorking knowledge of WA WHS Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022Knowledge of mining and resource practices, processing plantsDuties and ResponsibilitiesProvide a skilled and effective emergency response by actively participating in training and real-life incidents, taking the lead in critical situations, and guiding less experienced team members.Work collaboratively to enhance team and individual capabilities through hands-on emergency response training.Attend to emergency and first aid calls, delivering appropriate medical care in line with approved clinical guidelines.Promote a strong health and safety culture across the site, continuously improving WHS standards, systems, and procedures.Ensure emergency response equipment and vehicles are well-maintained and ready for immediate use.Conduct daily safety inspections and support the WHS team in safety audits.Respond swiftly to fire alarms and fire protection system activations.Support site-wide Drug & Alcohol Testing and Fitness for Work programs.Help safeguard company assets by applying effective security measures and protocols.Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.About our ClientA leading mining company specialising in surface mining operations with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
