We have an AO3 Administration Officer temporary role available for an experienced administrator with a Queensland Government Department in Chermside, commencing ASAP (anticipated to 30/06/2025 with possible extension).This role will be responsible for providing administration and client support tasks to a project, including:Provide general administrative support and develop and maintain administrative procedures and systems to assist the office to function effectively.Implement and administer departmental information systems, including those relating to financial, human resource management, correspondence, records management and plant and equipment.Undertake administrative functions associated with personnel matters and provide comprehensive, accurate human resource information as required.Provide high quality support using a range of software packages and databases to maintain and improve administration processes.Organise and coordinate functions, meetings and training activities by planning itineraries, venues, catering, travel bookings and accommodation.Liaise, consult, and maintain effective relationships with team members, internal and external customers and other stakeholders.Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative support services to deliver a timely and quality service.Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.We are ideally seeking the following skills and experience:Previous aligned administration, finance and client service experience.Intermediate skills with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and confidence learning/using new technology.Fast and accurate keyboarding skills.Proven ability to manage priorities, meet tight deadlines, and apply attention to detail to deliver consistent quality service with minimal supervision.Demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication and ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.Availability to work 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday and commence the temporary assignment with short notice.Due to the nature and responsibilities of this position, consent to a national criminal history check will be required prior to any offer of employment being made (and any record of disclosable court outcomes or pending charges will be considered based on relevance to the position being applied for).This is a great opportunity to secure experience as part of our temporary team working within Queensland Government and we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.Please submit your application today.
