EF International Language Campuses in Perth is looking for a dynamic and qualified Director of Studies to manage our Academic Department.The Role:You will manage the Academic department by leading from the front and implementing the course programs as planned. You have overall responsibility for the academic management and quality, training, and development of the academic team.As we are working in a very fast-paced environment, we are looking for a self-starter who can apply their previous knowledge and experience to continue the successful growth and development of the school.Duties include but are not limited to:Providing overall leadership and management of entire Academic Department,Leading from the front is passionate about teaching and ready to teach as and when required themselves,Setting the direction of the Academic department is responsible for academic planning and objective setting, ensuring those objectives are met, and supporting staff in meeting their objectives,Develop new academic content & lead professional development sessions for the teacher team,Line management of the Academic team including Senior Teachers, Contract Teachers, timesheet teaching staff and interns,Timetabling of students, teachers, courses, and classrooms to meet the needs and expectations of students and to achieve the course objectives,Correspondence with EF Sales Offices in over 50 countries globally.Ensuring that the academic team are compliant with all aspects of school accreditation and EF policies and procedures,Managing the academic budget for training and materials,Working towards whole school goals and targets for KPIs and student satisfaction rates,Responsible for quality assurance of all academic matters including recruitment, development, evaluation of effectiveness of curriculum on learner outcomes and overall student satisfaction.Liaising with the wider school team for student events, connecting the academics team to the wider schoolAs part of the school management team you will also join the emergency on call rota.Qualifications and competencies:Masters degree in English, Linguistics, Education or related field, or DELTA certifiedExperience teaching English as a foreign language to international students is essential (as this is the core business of our school)Academic management experience preferred.Experience teaching English at an international language schoolAttention to detail, organized & thorough and able to work under pressure to deadlinesHighly motivated, energetic, positiveA flexible approach to work & hours of work undertaken is essentialFriendly & approachable manner is key as well as being sensitive to needs of international studentsAble to work on own initiativeEF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
