The RoleVentia are seeking a Chef to join our Defence Base Services contract. Reporting to the Head Chef, this position will see you based at RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook WA. In this role, you support the kitchen operations and food service to deliver great customer service to Australian Defence personnel within RAAF Pearce. You may also need to travel to other locations as required.This position is a full-time permanent role, working Monday to Friday, with the pay rate for this position being $31.68 per hour + penalties.To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.Key duties, but not limited to:Support the Sous Chef in management of the overall preparation & delivery of meal servicesOperate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, & barbequesEnsure menu variations, allergen and religious requirements are followedParticipate in regular stocktake and inventory controlEnsure all areas of the kitchen are clean, sanitised, well-maintained and presentableMaintain noticeboards ensuring material is accurate and relevantRequirements:Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Level 2 certification Highly regardedThe CompanyVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
