Join our team today.About the roleThiess Mount Pleasant Operation has an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Auto Electricians to join our Field Maintenance Team. This is a great opportunity to advance your knowledge & skills in this area.You will work a lifestyle roster of 5/4, 4/5, 5/5 with 12-hour days, nights, and weekend work. You will be part of a team that strives for the best in fleet maintenance and management.Key Role Requirements:Be energetic, think quickly, and work fluently across a small but energetic team.Perform servicing, breakdown repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment including Liebherr 996, 9400, 9600, and 9350 Excavators, Komatsu PC7000 Excavator, Cat and Terex drill fleet, CAT 793, and Komatsu 930 Trucks, Track Dozers, and other ancillary equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation.Ability to source technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems.Run data, power, radio, and GPS antenna cables through bulkhead, panels, and access both inside and outside production equipment compartments on heavy mining machinery.Provide high-quality installations including mountings, wiring, and testing of equipment.Ensure all activities are completed in a safe manner.About youTrade qualified Auto Electrician with 2 to 3 years post trade experience in the mining industry.Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007.Experience in the above-mentioned fleet and open pit exposure.Electrical supervisors/contractors license as issued by the Department of Fair Trading.Experience in maintaining and fault finding on solar systems, wireless networks, machine monitoring systems, and GPS systems would be advantageous.What Thiess can do for youPermanent full-time positions.Even time, lifestyle rosters.Thiess commitment to training & development.Range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About usAt Thiess, we partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia, and the Americas.
