Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.Job DescriptionAbout The Opportunity:Due to strong growth in the HV transmission and distribution sector we are adding to our Acciona team in WA. We are seeking an Outage Manager to be based out of the project office initially but travel to site as required.As an Outage Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing power outages to support network upgrades and construction & commissioning activities. You will work closely with the Client/Network Operator and various Construction and Subcontractor teams to ensure that outages are executed safely, efficiently, timely and with minimal disruption to customers.Key Responsibilities:Outage Planning: Develop detailed outage plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, operations, and construction teams to ensure outages are provided by the Client in line with Accionas schedule.Communication: Inform client & stakeholders, including customers and regulatory bodies, about planned outages and their impact.Safety Management: Ensure all outage activities comply with safety regulations and protocols.Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during outages, ensuring timely completion of work.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of outage plans, activities, and outcomes.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve outage management processes and implement best practices.Required Skills and CompetenciesProven experience as an Outage Manager or similar role in the energy sector.Strong knowledge of HV power systems, HV transmission lines and Substations network upgrades, and brownfield construction.Excellent understanding of construction requirements of working at live Substations & HV Transmission Lines and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality.Relevant certifications or training in outage management and safety.Apply now if you feel like you have some or all of the capabilities we are looking for!ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company''s commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
