As the Sales Estimator you will complete tenders for high-end luxury homes and/or small commercial properties. Completing full take-offs, quotes for projects, sales costings, and BOQ''s, you will also set prices based on supplier rates and schedules, calculate quantities and be able to negotiate, and influence a solutions-final-based outcome.About YouYou are a Sales Estimator with 35+ years of experience in the construction of luxury homes and/or small commercial properties within the residential and commercial construction industry. With a strong ability to plan and manage sales estimating activities, ensuring efficient bid preparation, you have an in-depth knowledge of Melbournes construction market, subcontractors, and local suppliers. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills set you apart. You are also proficient in Databuild or similar estimating software.Your Key Responsibilities:Develop well-structured, traceable and transparent estimates ensuring the integrity of Varcons processes and practices.Drive the end-to-end estimating process including cost planning, first principles estimating, vendor quotation analysis, cashflow modelling, escalation, & benchmarking.Present and provide technical input into estimate reviews.Support client negotiations, including scope, estimate and other related contractual items.Support the identification of key risks to ensure appropriate risk provisions are in place.On contract award, provide detailed estimate handover documents, assists in project contract transition.Why Join VARCON GroupIn this role, you will work on a diverse range of projects, from medium-density developments valued between $500,000 $3 million, to custom-built luxury homes and a variety of small commercial projects.
