About the RoleAs a Senior BI Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming our Business Intelligence function into a high-impact, insight-driven team. You''ll focus on delivering meaningful insights, improving BI best practices, building reports, and providing guidance to experienced team members. This is a hands-on analytical role where you''ll work closely with commercial, trading, and product teams to ensure that data-driven decision-making is at the heart of business strategy.What You Will DoWork with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable insights.Develop BI reports and dashboards to assist Sportsbook and Racing operations, Risk management, Trading, Commercial and Product teams on their day-to-day activities.Perform ad hoc data extraction, manipulation & analysis for the purpose of insights and recommendations.Coach experienced analysts in problem-solving approaches and business acumen.Introduce best practices for SQL queries, data structuring, and reporting consistency.Maintain the reporting framework, automate reports and dashboards wherever possible, and constantly review and improve existing reports.Maintain clear documentation on key metrics, data sources, and business logic.Lead peer review sessions to improve BI output quality and ensure consistency.Foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaborative problem-solving.Contribute to self-service analytics initiatives, making data more accessible for business users.Preferred Experience and KnowledgeMinimum 5 years experience of BI, Data Analytics, or Business Insights.Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.Demonstrated experience in AWS (Redshift, S3, Quicksight).Familiarity with best practices in BI development, automation, and governance.Experience with Jira, Agile methodologies, or workflow automation tools.Ability to gain cooperation and commitment and work with remote teams.Python is advantageous but not mandatory.BenefitsWe are in a fantastic new office near Barangaroo, close to Wynyard station.Our office has a sports hub, if you want to challenge a mate to a game of table tennis or darts.Fancy a good cup of coffee?
