The key focus of our high-performing team is to manage all business-related financial functions, including management and financial reporting, operations, and partner activities.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be an invaluable member of this close-knit team of 9 professionals. Your primary focus is to assist in managing the accounting functions at SW Accountants and Advisors with an emphasis on financial/management reporting and partnering with divisional leaders to drive operational efficiency and performance.Key responsibilitiesPrepare the accounts and maintain the trial balance, profit and loss, and balance sheet for several entities.Partner with the divisional leaders to drive operational efficiency and business outcomes.Engage with the business around financial hygiene including WIP management and debtor management.Prepare monthly management reports for senior management and business divisions.Prepare balance day adjustments including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, and provisions.Financial modelling including using both BI reporting tool and Excel to build and enhance meaningful financial and analytical reports.Budget preparation and input.Maintain rolling forecasting reports at divisional and firm levels.GL reconciliations including debtors, creditors, and capital accounts.GL analysis and reporting on variance to budget.Income Tax reconciliations, FBT, Monthly BAS, and other ATO compliance.Annual statutory reconciliations and reporting.Backup payroll.Other duties as directed by the Finance Manager.Skills and experienceDegree qualified with an accounting major and near to qualifying or fully qualified CA/CPA studies.Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within Professional Services.Exposure to preparing financial reports, financial performance and analysis, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, management reporting, and budgeting.Ability to grasp financial and accounting concepts used in reporting.Robust data skills in both cleaning and maintenance.Exceptional organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.Ability to take instructions and feedback from more senior staff and keep them informed of progress.Experience delegating work and providing support to junior staff.Ability to develop good working relationships with staff, managers, partners, and clients.Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.Understand the importance of completing tasks in accordance with the instructions provided.Present professionally and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.An appreciation of the need for confidentiality and sensitivity towards confidential firm information.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are highly desirable and experience with BI reporting tool.Exposure to DAX Language or Power Query is highly valued.Previous experience with an accounting software package and other MS Office productivity tools.Prior experience working with MYOB or Reckon and competent in Microsoft Excel.Best kept secrets of SWProgressive firm, with excellent career opportunities.Flexible working environment.2 additional AL days per year.18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers and 3 weeks for non-primary.Refer to client and refer a friend bonus scheme.Employee Assistance Program and Wellness perks.$1000 towards home office setup.Social Club.Tailored Learning and Development Program.Paid Course/study leave.1 paid professional membership per year.Weekly lunch provided.Apply todayCreate your own individual story and become a part of ours.
