Opportunity to join CBAs Global Markets teamBe part of this progressive and innovative environmentBrisbane CBD based roleSee yourself in our teamThe Global Markets division is responsible for the Trading and Sales activities in Financial Markets encompassing all Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Fixed Income and Interest Rate products. The purpose of the Global Markets Sales business is to enhance our clients success by making Global Markets easy to navigate.Business Banking Sales is a client facing business within Institutional Banking and Markets responsible for the transactional delivery of our full range of risk management products to corporate clients serviced at an overall relationship level by Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Agri and Local Business Banking. It liaises with large and medium sized Australian-based companies as well as all Federal and NSW Government related clients (excluding local government authorities).The advertised role provides Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate support to meet the needs of new clients within the Business Bank. A large proportion of your time will be spent working with business partners jointly to bring on board new clients, across the FX space.Do work that mattersYou will be an integral team member who provides exceptional service and support to CBA customers and deliver client outcomes with respect to their on-going FX payment and cross product Risk Management needs.Key tasks will include but not be limited to:Develop new business opportunities and grow existing business across the Business Bank spaceSale of FX/IR risk management products to a defined client base with the objective of meeting individual and team revenue growth targetsDevelop strong relationships with business partners, colleagues and internal stakeholdersAssist other team members with deal identification, deal structure and closureActively gather, maintain and report knowledge of industry and market conditions, understand the financial impacts and proactively respond to client needs, utilising bank resources to meet these needsMaintain knowledge of Bank and GM products inclusive of product enhancements, changes and competitive informationMaintain a continuous improvement approach for product, people, process and systemsRecommend and influence improvement opportunitiesOwn client complaints until resolved, and ensure these are managed in line with Bank and GM policyLiaise with colleagues and ensure key stakeholders are engaged on proposed transactions and opportunities in a timely fashionWere interested in hearing from people who:Are committed candidates, seeking to build on a strong foundation developed in a Markets environment across the FX/IR space.Further, youll bring:Strong sales ethic developed across the financial services spaceUnderstanding of the industry sectors and the key drivers affecting the industry.Track record of building and leveraging effective relationships across an organisation to deliver against financial and risk objectivesA strong client centric mindset focused on understanding and meeting clients needsStrong interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skillsTechnical industry experience.Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach as well as being highly organised and efficient, with an ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlinesGreat communication skillsTertiary qualification in finance or business related field and AFMA qualification desirableThis opportunity will give you exposure to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business whilst being part of a team that is focused, smart, hardworking and passionate about our shared vision to create the very best experience for our customers.As the successful applicant, you''ll be rewarded with a structured career path within the IB&M business that offers a competitive market salary, annual performance incentives, and a flexible working environment.If you''re already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you''ll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application.
