The Ski Club Victoria, passionately known as The Whitt is looking for experienced hands-on Hospitality Manager to lead our dynamic and diverse team for the winter season.Live & work on the mountainOnsite accommodation (private room within shared staff housing lodge) provided at a discounted rateAccess to Buller Crew program & discounted season passWhen the snow falls The Whitt is the place to be!We are a 7 days a week operation with a busy 100-seater restaurant and bar, function venue and caf, that offers some of the best food and dining experiences on Mt Buller.Open for lunch and dinner, our restaurant is a family-friendly venue with a focus on classic brasserie style food and fresh produce that offers a fun and efficient working environment.We also operate a small, but busy caf, serving house roasted coffee and takeaway eats. Its a Mount Buller hot spot and is known for its flavoursome coffee and delicious quick bites, while you are hitting the slopes.The successful candidate must be a fun, energetic and conscientious team player, with a passion for providing great hospitality and excellent customer service. They must lead from the front, always be thinking ahead and must be focused on improving the overall guest experience. Previous management experience in a busy restaurant and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is a must.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage the daily operations of the food and beverage department.Plan, organise, coordinate and oversee the work schedules of the f&b department.Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of groups and event bookings.Manage the induction and training of f&b staff.Inventory control Monthly stocktakes, stock ordering.Greet guests upon arrival, direct them to their table and provide menus.Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance; ensure items are announced.Ensure tables are cleared in a timely manner and service areas kept clean and tidy.Adhere to and have knowledge of food hygiene standards and requirements.Close cheques and process payments through the POS system.Provide guests with exceptional customer service and a dining experience they feel meets their expectations.Get to know our members and regular guests to ensure they feel welcome, comfortable and their requests and needs are met.Requirements:Minimum 2 years experience in a restaurant setting.Hands-on management style.Extensive food and beverage knowledge.Menu development skills.Prior experience in planning and executing events.Wine knowledge is favourable.Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (Victoria).This is a fixed seasonal contract across a 7-day operation, that includes days, evenings, and weekend shifts.Dont miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime to live and work in the mountains, ski or snowboard and make lifelong friends!If this sounds like the role for you, please email a copy of your resume, cover letter and a recent photograph to hr@skivictoria.com.au.Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be able to commit to the winter season (Start of June - end of September).Apply NowEnsure your details are correct so we can contact you.First NameLast NamePhone NumberEmail AddressDocumentsPlease upload your CV/Cover Letter in PDF format. #J-18808-Ljbffr
