Welcome to IBN Corporation and thank you for wanting to be a part of our team.IBN is the Trustee for the Mining Area C (MAC) Agreement between BHP Billiton Pty Ltd and the IBN Claim Group - the Yinhawangka, Banyjima and Nyiyaparli people of the Pilbara. Established in 2001, IBN is a charitable business operated for the advancement and prosperity of these communities. We provide programs and services to raise the personal, social and economic wellbeing of our members and deliver support and programs in health, education, housing, culture, enterprise development and employment. IBNs head office is in South Hedland, Western Australia, approximately 350 kilometres north of the Mining Area C Project and we also have offices in Perth, Tom Price and Karratha.The OpportunityThe Junior Accounts Clerk supports the financial sustainability of the IBN Group by processing end-to-end accounts payable, processing of accounts receivable, processing of bank statements and credit cards. IBN is currently in the process of developing and implementing Netsuite as an ERP and Payroll HR solution, moving away from MYOB (exo).The RoleCore responsibilities of this role include and are not limited to:Code and process transactions into the accounting system account dailyPrepare a daily reconciliation for all accounts for reviewProcess and reconcile all term deposits and other bank accountsProcess creditorsDate stamp all creditor invoices receivedFile all invoices as directedInput & code invoices once approvedSubmission of reconciled payments to the Assistant Accountant / Group Accountant for payment approvalPayment of all Vendor Accounts within terms and payment run schedulesProcess and reconcile Credit Card TransactionsEnsure purchases are within company policyInvoicing ad-hoc receivableAll ad-hoc invoicing as requiredOther ResponsibilitiesReview, respond to, and redirect all inbound mail and emails (internal and external)Provide support and leave cover for Accounts Clerks as requiredBook flights & accommodation as requiredSupport office administration tasks including ordering stationary and equipment as requiredAt all times performs duties in accordance with organisational policies and standard operating proceduresContinuously conducts themselves in accordance with the IBN Code of Conduct, HR policies and Work Health and Safety policiesOther duties as directedThe RequirementsHighly motivated and enthusiastic, with effective communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamAdaptable and open to learning new skills and methodologiesAn ability to problem solveProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Good time management skills and strong focus on accuracy and attention to detailCertificate IV in Bookkeeping and AccountingExperience working with Aboriginal people and understanding Aboriginal Australian cultureExperience using ERP solutions NetSuite and MYOB (exo)2 years of work experience in a similar roleNational Police Check (no older than 6 months and renewed every 3 years)The PerksAttractive salary commensurate with experienceRole based in Perth CBD in modern offices with travel to the Pilbara required approximately monthlyStaff benefits including Health & Wellness allowance, Study support, uniformsNot for profit Salary packaging up to $18,550 (tax free) per annum5 weeks annual leaveFlexible working arrangements negotiable for the right candidateFor a confidential enquiry and discussion please call Rebecca Gordon 0473 814 877 or email work@ibngroup.com.au for further information.Please apply directly through SEEK with a CV and brief cover letter outlining why you are interested in the role and how your experience meets the requirements.
