Excellent support and supervision is available.The Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) is an adult outpatient rehabilitation service working with clients with a diverse range of diagnostic conditions.CRU staff work with clients to achieve their goals in our well-equipped centre and in the clients home and community.CRU has three Allied Health Assistants who all work mainly with clients receiving Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy rehabilitation services.CRU is located at the Repatriation Centre, 90 Davey Street, Hobart.The Role:Under the supervision and delegation of an Allied Health Professional, you will work directly with clients as they participate in their rehabilitation program.You will assist Allied Health Professionals to deliver individual and group sessions to clients at the centre and in the community.You will assist in the provision of safe and efficient allied health rehabilitation services through sourcing, coordination, and preparation of clinical resources including equipment.You will need:Hold or working toward Allied Health Assistant Certificate IV, or equivalent competencies and skills within a hospital, community or therapy setting.Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, independent judgement and well developed organisational and time management skills.Demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team and carry out safe work practices whilst working under the direction of multiple therapists.Details of appointment:Permanent part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $67,193 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata).
