OverviewThe Truck Driver Light will address customer needs, pick up and deliver parts for MaineDOT sites, and assist with inventory control.ResponsibilitiesProvide quality customer service to include but not limited to the following:Attention to detailMeet and greet customersReview supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed (signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions and quantities)Answer questions regarding availability of partsAsk appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and providedInform customers when requested parts are availableOperate a forkliftReview, familiarize with, and adhere to Policy and Procedures ManualReview, familiarize with, and MANCONs SOPs and Safety ManualParts Pick up & Delivery:Drive vehicle to designated vendors locations to purchase/pick up partsProvide company documentation to vendors as required (tax exempt form, credit references)Review all invoices at vendor location to ensure accuracy on pricing and quantitiesReturn products to MANCON location in a timely fashionDeliver parts to MaineDOT sitesTransfer parts between locationsData Entry Requirements:Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory systemAssist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory systemInventory Management Requirements:Assist in physically receiving vendor ordersAssist in performing weekly inventory cycle countsAssist in performing counts during Wall to Wall inventories at siteOther Requirements:Follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenanceProvide 24 hour support at the MaineDOT location during emergenciesAssist with inventory research projects as requestedAdhere to required proceduresAssist Store Supervisor as assignedParticipate in the SCM continuing training programQualifications24-hour availabilityValid Drivers License with two years driving experienceObtain and maintain a forklift certificatePreferred QualificationsDelivery Driver experienceAuto and/or heavy duty truck parts experienceInventory experiencePhysical RequirementsMedium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Essential RequirementsDriving, Lifting, Reaching, Sitting, Standing, Stooping, WalkingPhysical Requirements OtherWork is performed in storerooms and warehouses which may have uncontrolled temperatures and dirt/dust/damp conditions.
