This key technical training position will report to the Training Manager, and will be offered on a permanent full time basis.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.Key responsibilities include:Provide leadership to the training team who analyse, design and develop training requirements for Navy personnelProvide leadership to the training team who develop and assure the recommended crewing solution for the Hunter Class Frigate.Provide leadership to the training team, coach and develop personnel, ensuring services provided meet business and customer objectivesProvide support to the ILS Maintenance Requirements Determination (MRD) team in undertaking Operating Task Analysis and the development of evolutions matrix activitiesSupport the identification and documentation of training equipment requirements to support the training of Navy personnel and teamsOversee the assessment for the feasibility of the delivery of training for whole of ship activities, including the training design curriculum to support training for whole of ship activitiesLead the training team in the development of training and assessment materials for whole of ship related activities and support the customer''s assessment of those training activitiesEstablish effective consultation and communication mechanisms with customers, internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that stakeholders are fully engaged, establishing good relationshipsDrive culture of training design and training development best practice, efficiency and continuous improvementAbout YOUDefence Maritime experience and experience operating equipment on naval shipsPeople leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage a team and provide effective leadership, direction and motivationGood communication and stakeholder management skills, good computer skills and proficiency with using the Microsoft Office SuiteWhilst not essential, technical training experience or a relevant training qualification, will be highly regardedWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don''t tick all the boxes.
