Our purpose is to empower and encourage our people to think differently about how we can make a positive impact as a firm.The role:As the General Manager within our Asset Management Services (AMS) business, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of a substantial commercial asset which will be a career defining role.A considerable focus will be required to deliver the asset strategy, effectively manage repositioning works, deliver customer experience excellence, and minimise risks for the client.This senior management role encompasses responsibilities across financial, leasing, WH&S, operational, and strategic business planning. You will lead the onsite team to achieve asset and business plan targets and work collaboratively with the client to ensure the property is market leading.Key responsibilities:Lead the team to develop effective and accurate asset plans, budgets, and financial reports.Proactively manage property financials and ensure that a tenant retention program is developed and maintained.Work collaboratively with the asset client(s) to develop strategic planning for the property, focusing on asset positioning, leasing, capital works, and marketing strategies.Oversee risk mitigation strategies associated with public liability, fire and lift safety, and other essential services, implementing a risk management plan for the asset.Lead and mentor a team of onsite property professionals, providing leadership to maximise effectiveness, efficiency, and their development.Ensure that the clients'' asset plan and targets are achieved through proactive budget management.Oversee and guide the property and facilities management team to ensure monthly/annual reports to owners/tenants are prepared and issued.Who are we looking for?Tertiary qualifications such as a Bachelor of Business (Property) or a related discipline (Law).Certificate of Registration or Real estate license (essential)Have a minimum of 8 years previous experience in the property Industry is desirable, with strong Asset / Property Management specific experience.Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.Have experience in preparing complex asset plans, budgets, and comprehensive reports.Possess a firm understanding of retail leases legislation application and accounting processes, income and expenditure budgets.Have strong people management experience and a demonstrated ability to effectively manage people.Be organised, self-motivated, and can meet tight deadlines and prioritise tasks.Whats in it for you?Competitive remuneration packageCareer development opportunities such as internal and external mentoring, leadership education training, and study leave to focus on your personal growth.A generous 16-week parental scheme plus superannuation for a full 12 monthsBirthday leaveSwap around a public holiday for a cultural swap day!Two Wellness Days to allow you to focus on your own physical and or mental wellbeingA workplace where you can access 2 weeks additional leave each year so you can take that extra break with family or friendsWe applaud your need to give back to the community and give you 2 paid volunteer days each year to support one of our-affiliated charities.Our reward platform The Vault which gives you access to a great range of discounts at popular retailers and supermarkets as well as lifestyle benefits and corporate discountsBecause life can throw the unexpected at us, we help subsidise private health insurance excess, if you or an immediate family member requires hospitalisationPlus, so much more!Not the perfect fit?We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and abilities - as every person and their situation is unique, we look at this on an individual and applied role basis.
