Australian Hardwood Stake Co is an Australian family business for 24 years. We produce hardwood stakes from Australian grown timber. We are seeking a new labourer based on the Gold Coast to join our team. Starting as a casual, working on approx 25-40 hours a week, wages starting $28.00 per hour. We can be quite flexible with start and finish times which may suit school run or needing to work limited days. The role of the labourer/sawyer will be based around cutting/pointing/painting and handling timber. This includes operating powered saws, chainsaws, forklift, strapping machinery and maintaining a tidy workspace. Experience in a similar role and a proficiency in working with tools is preferred but not essential. Forklift license preferable. Must have a willingness to adopt and demonstrate safety in the work place. Preference will be given to local applicants who have their own transport and those who enjoy physical work with tools and wanting long term employment. A strong work ethic and a bit of banter is required. Dependent on the skillset you bring to the role and what tasks you''re ultimately capable of, remuneration above the award wage will readily be given. The role is an effort based one that is built off hard work. If the output is consistently above baseline, then remuneration will be increased to suit. An initial trial will be given for us to evaluate your suitability to the role and vice versa. Successful applicant will be employed on an initial 3 month trial basis .
