This role offers an attractive salary package of $85,000 - $95,000 + Super and is based in the vibrant city of Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for looking after the in-house payroll function, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. You will be responsible for administering end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing, maintaining up-to-date employee records, managing various payments to employees and third parties, preparing necessary financial documents, serving as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing insightful reports to management, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies. Your ability to multitask, prioritise workload effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy will be key to your success in this role.Maintain and update employee payroll records.Support internal and external audits for payroll matters as required.Process payments to third parties including child support and novated lease deductions.Manage Centrelink paid parental leave and Workers Compensation payments to employees.Manage and analyse payroll data and provide insightful reports to Management as required.Evaluate opportunities for improved efficiencies and effectiveness in consultation with Finance Manager.Serve as a point of contact and provide high-level support and assistance to employees regarding payroll related inquiries.Administer end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company policies.Prepare, reconcile, lodge and process payment for payroll tax, superannuation and workers compensation in accordance with legislative requirements.What you bring:The ideal candidate for the Payroll Officer position brings a wealth of experience from an accounting/finance background with specific expertise in payroll environments. You possess working knowledge of PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and workers compensation, and are adept at using ADP Payforce or similar payroll systems. Your high level numeracy and reconciliation skills, coupled with your meticulous attention to detail, enable you to deliver accurate results within tight deadlines. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills make you a valuable team player and a reliable point of contact for payroll-related inquiries.
