Experience within the timber industry is not essential but preferred.Stacker OperatorKey ResponsibilitiesEnsure all aspects of stacking machinery are setup and ready to start.Ensure all packs are produced with fillet sticks correctly placed according to requirements.Use the correct size and grade fillet per product and ensure all finished goods meet quality standards.Grade all boards to specification and stack them in the correct cradles to maximise recovery.Identify and report product quality issues early.Experience, Qualifications and SkillsPrevious experience in a manufacturing or timber processing environment is preferred.Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy.Good problem-solving skills and ability to detect product issues early.Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.Loader OperatorKey ResponsibilitiesUnload log trucks and position logs in designated areas and rows.Unload sorting bins (bark-off logs) and correctly place logs in appropriate rows.Handle large quantities of logs efficiently, minimising timber damage during loading and unloading.Correctly mark bark-on and bark-off log rows for identification and report any non-conforming deliveries or unloaded logs (e.g., blue logs, excessive slash, poor form, or incorrect sizing) to the team leader.Remove packs from the stacker outfeed as required, ensuring continuous operation.Conduct routine safety and operational checks on mobile plant equipment, including refuelling, lubrication, and identifying mechanical issues and report any defects, accidents, or safety concerns to the team leader and manager.Experience, Qualifications and SkillsHold current licence to operate mobile plant.Previous experience operating loaders or similar heavy machinery in a production or forestry environment, including general maintenance requirements.Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements.Ability to efficiently handle and organise large quantities of logs while minimising damage.Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong team mindset.Forklift OperatorKey ResponsibilitiesOperate forklift to load and unload timber from trucks or storage areas and transport timber to designated areas within the site.Coordinate with the despatch team to prepare and dispatch orders.Ensure that all outgoing products are correctly labelled, documented, and match the dispatch orders.Maintain accurate records of dispatch operations, including stock levels and report discrepancies in stock levels to the team.Ensure proper placement, handling, and rotation of stock and resolve logistical issues and report outcomes.Inspect goods for damage or defects before dispatch.Experience, Qualifications and SkillsForklift Licence (mandatory).Previous experience as Despatch Forklift Operator preferred.Manage time effectively, set priorities, plan, and organise workloads, and achieve specified outcomes within a limited timeframe.Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong team mindset.Competence using information and communication technology.Why Join Us?Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to make a significant impact on business strategy and growth.A supportive and dynamic work environment.Commitment to your professional development and career growth.How to applyIf this sounds like the job for you, please apply today.
