We are seeking a dynamic Workshop/Depot Supervisor to take ownership of our Darwin internal operations both workshop and depot processes.This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives on both leading a team and working alongside them. As Workshop/Depot Supervisor, you will spend approximately 80% of your time on the tools within the workshop: overseeing operations, tackling maintenance work, and ensuring our fleet remains compliant and runs smoothly. We are looking for someone with the right experience, skills, and enthusiasm to take our operations to the next level.Key Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the ECC Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Darwin Depot.Workshop:Lead, Inspire and supervise a team of employees, providing hands-on guidance and supportOversee and conduct fleet management, including vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs, ensuring all vehicles meet regulatory and safety standardsEnsure compliance with all transport regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track workshop performance and implement improvements where neededManage budgets, including controlling costs and ensuring efficient use of resourcesEnsure that all vehicles are properly maintained, delivery routes are optimized, and customer service standards are metOperational Duties:Develop and implement efficient scheduling systems for drivers and deliveries, optimizing routes and reducing operational costsCollaborate with other departments, such as logistics, customer service, and supply chain teams, to meet operational targets.Maintain accurate records of operations, including delivery schedules, fleet maintenance logs, and incident reportsResolve any issues or delays related to transport operations, addressing customer concerns and ensuring customer satisfactionMonday to Friday rosterWork with a close-knit, supportive teamAttractive remuneration package + super + weekly pay cycles (Salary negotiable for right applicant)Permanent, full-time opportunity with a growing and leading AU Logistics organizationSkills and Experience:Qualified Mechanic - hold a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanical or higherPrevious experience as a Workshop Supervisor is required. Previous experience as a depot manager would be held in high regard, however, training can be provided to the right candidateStrong understanding of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and compliance with regulatory standardsFamiliarity with transport industry regulations, including driving hours, load limits, and compliance requirement would be held in high regardStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse team of drivers, maintenance staff, and support personnelAbility to address safety concerns and implement risk management strategiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutionsEmerald Carrying Company is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
