We work with clients at all levels of government to deliver an extremely diverse range of logistics solutions - from the distribution of healthcare products, managing the relocation of their employees, delivering fleets of government vehicles, through to helicopter rescue services.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager Healthcare (SCM) to join our Government and Defence function based in Melbourne. The SCM is a strategic leader who drives financial stewardship and shapes the financial direction of the Healthcare business for sustainable growth. Collaborating with the SVP Finance and Commercial, the SCM develops financial strategies, governance frameworks, and pricing models. The role also leads M&A activities, contract negotiations, and internal presentations for approvals. Additionally, the SCM ensures robust governance, compliance, and accurate financial reporting, while fostering team collaboration to maximise profitability, manage risks, and drive innovative solutions, aligning with the strategic priorities of the Healthcare business.As the Senior Commercial Manager Healthcare, you will have experience in:Financial Strategy & Commercial Influence - Develop and execute financial strategies, provide strategic insights, and support M&A opportunitiesFinancial Insights & Reporting Excellence - Establish a compliant financial framework and deliver comprehensive financial reportsBudgeting, Forecasting, and Strategic Planning - Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, integrating financial insights with operational objectivesOperational Excellence & Risk Management - Streamline financial processes, enhance working capital management, and champion digital transformationLeadership & Team Empowerment - Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environmentAbout youQualificationsBachelor''s Degree in (or equivalent experience) - Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related fieldProfessional Certifications (or equivalent experience in Corporate or Management Accounting) (Certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) would be highly regarded.)ExperienceSenior Financial Leadership - 5+ years in senior roles, such as Financial Controller or Senior Commercial Manager, demonstrating a blend of strategic oversight and operational excellenceCorporate Reporting & Strategy - Proven expertise in financial reporting, capital restructuring, and supporting strategic initiatives like M&As and revenue growthTeam Leadership - Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and driving collaboration across functionsAbility to think critically, analyse complex situations, and develop long-term financial strategies that align with organisational goalsA keen understanding of business drivers, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, with the ability to identify and capitalise on commercial opportunitiesExceptional influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to challenge and drive actionWhat moves you?At Toll, you can help play a vital role in delivering what matters.
