We are passionate about reducing our environmental impact, ensuring ethical supply chain practices, and crafting beautiful, sustainable products for commercial interiors.We are seeking a curious and passionate individual to maintain our existing sustainability initiatives and certifications while driving our sustainability strategy forward. This role is ideal for someone eager to make a tangible impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking company.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentifying opportunities to integrate circular economy principles and reduce carbon emissions throughout our product development and business operations.Managing sustainability reporting, including the Annual Sustainability Report, Modern Slavery Statement, and UN Global Compact Reporting.Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.Engaging and educating internal teams, clients, and stakeholders on sustainability initiatives.Maintaining sustainability certifications and accreditations, such as ISO14001 EMS, UN Global Compact, GECA, and AFRDI GreenTick.Developing and implementing sustainability strategies, policies, and best practices.Understanding the expectations of key stakeholders, including clients, industry bodies, and rating systems such as Green Star and the Living Building Challenge.Required Skills & QualificationsA degree or formal education in sustainability, environmental science, carbon management, or a related field.Experience in supply chain sustainability, modern slavery risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.Experience managing an Environmental Management System (EMS).Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks, including:Type 1 Ecolabelling requirements (GECA, AFRDI GreenTick)Green Star rating toolsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.A solution-focused mindset with the ability to drive meaningful action.Green Star Associate or Green Star Professional certification.Additional QualificationsProficiency in sustainability certifications (e.g., B Corp).Experience in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS).Reporting & Team StructureThis role reports to the General Manager.Location & Work ConditionsThinking Works is headquartered in Moorebank, NSW but also has a showroom in Sydney city centre.
